Most cameras ask you to look down at them. Orsenne is built so you can keep looking up.

A 28mm f/2 lens

Wide enough for a room, a street or a table for six. Fast enough to keep shooting after sunset without a flash.

One dial does the work

Turn it to set exposure. Press it to switch to manual. There is no mode dial, because one dial is plenty.

A screen you can turn off

Check a frame, then switch the screen off and shoot by feel. You can look at everything properly tonight.

Milled from one block

An aluminium body with a textured grip, 312 g with the battery in. It goes in a coat pocket and comes out ready.

“I wanted a camera I’d stop thinking about. Every part had to earn its place, and most didn’t.”

Mara, founder

Orsenne started as one prototype carried for a year in place of a phone camera. Whatever got in the way that year was taken off, and whatever was missed was put back. What’s left is the Orsenne 28.

Designed in Copenhagen

Every part is drawn and tested in our studio, then made by the one factory we’ve worked with since the first prototype.

Made in small batches

Each batch is a few hundred cameras, so every one is checked by hand before it leaves us.

Repaired, not replaced

We keep spare parts for ten years and will repair any Orsenne, in warranty or out of it.

Reserve yours

Pick a finish, then buy now or reserve and pay when it ships.
